My father Mike Smith and I have worked side by side in the restaurant business since I was a little fella. We have owned drive-ins, casual dining and steak houses over the last 50 years.

Here locally, we started the famous restaurant JF Grinz in 1980 located at the corner of Stratford and Knollwood. We sold JF Grinz in 1982 and started TJ's. We have loved every minute of it. My dad imparted into me many years ago the commitment to serving consistent quality food and to going out of our way for our customers. This is something that we always strive for, and though we sometimes fall short, we pride ourselves on these commitments. It has been our pleasure all these years to get to know you folks and we look forward to many more years. Thank you for our success.
